  • baby monitor

  • changing table

  • comfortable chair for feeding/reading/cuddling

  • books for bedtime stories

  • clothes, blankets etc

  • nappy bin

  • blackout blinds/curtains

Setting up your baby’s nursery is so important to encourage healthy sleep. It’s also important to follow certain safety guidelines to keep your little one safe.

Safety checklist :

  • make sure your baby’s cot isn’t directly under a window, or up against a radiator

  • tuck any wires or cords away

  • keep your baby’s room temperature between 18-20 degrees C

  • your baby’s cot must be clear - no soft toys or bumpers (even the mesh ones)

  • secure any large furniture items to the wall

  • use a monitor to keep an eye on your baby
